SALES SALES SALES!

Well, going out of business sucks. But if there's one good thing, it's that we are contributing to the stashes of area knitters.

Let the stashing continue! Starting April 21, everything in the store will be 30% off. Books and Patterns will be 75% off! And we have freshly stocked sale bins up front that are 50%-75%.

Our last official day is April 30, but even after that, the sales don't quit!

Our LIQUIDATION SALE (I only seem to be able to type that in all caps) is Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 (Otherwise known as Oaks and Derby). Everything in the shop will be 50%- 80% off! We'll also have a $1 bin and $5 grab bags. Cash and check only, please.

Thank you so much for your support and friendship! We really appreciate it!

Will you be open at your usual time of 11:00 a.m. on May 6? I'm planning a road trip!

Do you have a website - I'm in Florida but I would love to be able help you liquidate.

I just heard! Oh, I had no idea. AND you had a baby and I didn't know??? The economic downturn has hit me very hard, too. I'm in the Louisville Orchestra, so I am very sad, too. Good luck!
Yours,
Tamara

I just went by the Knit Knook and found you closed. I WAS SO SAD! I came in once every 3-4 months and loved the yarn and notions, patters, knitters! You were a terrific business owner taking a hobby and helping people turn it into a passion. It was so great having you in the highlands.

I understand about closing a business. It Sucks is a kind way of describing the emotion and reality of letting go of a dream and all the plans that went with it. My business of 16 years bellied up because of the downturn. ( I worked business to business as a strategy consultant.) I shut my office down in August and it was such an emotional bender for me I had to have someone else pack and move me...it was just too painful --- as you know. Now off to something else but what that will that be is my quest these days.
I would enjoy having coffee with you and talking about going through the loss of a business and vision. (I think there should be a support group of women (and men) whose businesses were tattered and torn beyond repair by the demons released by the GREAT RECESSION!)
I was also a university professor as part of my business and had a great contract teaching business strategy and business start-ups and I couldn't save mine! Budget cuts hit the university, sparked by the economy so that was a double wammy.....so , since there isn't anything holding me back --- onward to new dreams and visions....it is just hard but finding the motivation has been a challenge.
Just remember --- you are talented and gutsy women and you will find a new path that is just right for you and your family. let me know-email me if you want to have coffee...(sorry this went much deeper than planned:))
Best to you!
